In a significant loss for Florida craft beer, the Pensacola community, and as the second sad announcement in a week’s time, Pensacola Bay Brewery announced on Tuesday, September 16th, that their owner and brewer, Mark Robertson, has passed away.
From Pensacola Bay Brewery:

We are deeply saddened to share the passing of our Founder, Mentor, and Friend, Mark Robertson. As we grieve and support one another, we would like to thank you for keeping us all in your thoughts, during this difficult time. And we asked for privacy for his family and our team as we mourn his loss.
A note from Florida Beer News editor Mark DeNote:
Mark Robertson was one of the great ones. His passion for craft beer and his willingness to help stand out to me the most about working with Mark Robertson. During the writing of The Great Florida Craft Beer Guide, Mark was instrumental and very helpful in his tour of the brewery and advice around Pensacola. It was always great to see him at beer festivals because he was enjoying what he did and inspiring others to a conversation about craft beer. I am so sorry to hear about Mark’s passing, and he will be missed throughout Florida.
