It looks like the saga of Cycle Brewing’s St. Petersburg Taproom is coming to an end. In a video released May 22nd on the brewery’s social media, owner Doug Dozark proclaims that Monday, May 26th, Memorial Day, is the last day of the Cycle Taproom.

From Cycle Brewing:
“Memorial Day is Monday, and that is our last day.
For those who treat Memorial Day as the beginning of summer, come by and have some beer.
For those who treat Memorial Day as a day of remembrance for those who served and did not make it home, you can still come and have beer if you want to, but on Tuesday, there will be no Cycle Brewing Taproom.
So Monday is it.
There will be Crowler Specials, just cheap as can be. $5. Maybe cheaper. I don’t know. We’ve gotta sell this beer and whatever doesn’t sell, I have to haul and deal with, so let’s get some cans. We only have two beers on tap – we have R & R and we have Cream and Sugar.
There may be some barrel-aged crowlers. That’s a possibility. Maybe those are like $10. I don’t know. I’m crazy.
This is the final update. We will not update when things sell out. We will not update that we are closed on Tuesday morning. When we close on Monday night, it is all over.
Come by this weekend to say goodbye.”

While this closing marks the end of Cycle Brewing’s downtown St. Petersburg Tasting Room, Doug proposes several ideas for the brewery’s future, as he still has warehouse space in St. Petersburg and has just brewed an imperial stout to be aged in rum barrels.
