2025 continues to provide rough headwinds for many small businesses, but for craft breweries especially. St. Petersburg’s Dissent Brewing Company announced on August 6th that the brewery will be closing its doors soon.
From Dissent Brewing:
What started out as a passion project, turned into a business and then moved into a brand which created a culture that ended up as family.
We are beyond proud of what we’ve built over the past 7+ years on Haines Road. We’ve won awards, donated thousands of dollars to local charities, supported everything from softball teams to bowling leagues and kickball teams alike. We’ve helped introduce people that are now married. We’ve created new friends regrouped with old friends laughed, cried and made this little space on Haines Road more than just a brewery, we’ve made real memories…did we mention the unbelievable beer that we’ve also created here?
And so it breaks our hearts to say this, but it’s time to say goodbye to our beloved little space on Haines Road and all of you.
With heavy hearts, we’re announcing that Dissent Craft Brewing will be closing our doors.
This isn’t easy to say. We’ve poured our hearts into every pint, every event, every conversation across the bar. You’ve become family to us. And it’s been the absolute honor of our lives to serve you.
Small business ownership is not for the faint of heart — it’s been a ride filled with passion, long nights, laughter, and hustle. And while all good things eventually come to an end, that doesn’t make it any less painful.
We’re so proud of what we built together over the past seven years. Thank you — truly — for showing up, for choosing us, and for making this place more than just a brewery.
We may be closing our doors, but the memories, the friendships, and the spirit of Dissent will live on.
We will officially close our doors Sunday August 17th, or until the beers runs out.
Please show up, Support the bartenders that have supported you these past several years, grab some merch and have one last drink in our little taproom on Haines Rd.
With love and gratitude,
The Dissent Craft Brewing Family
